Schools, colleges and the public
In line with our aim of inspiring the next generation of scientists, the Department of Physics and Astronomy offers a range of educational activities for schools, colleges and the general public.
Primary and secondary school students can take part in a variety of fun, engaging activities, while our students and academic staff can deliver informative, entertaining talks to A-level students. Sixth form students also have the opportunity to undertake valuable work experience at either the Jodrell Bank Centre for Astrophysics or the Nuffield Foundation.
We also offer a wide range of public engagement engagement activities for all the family, including at our Jodrell Bank Discovery Centre and through popular events such as Bluedot Festival and ScienceX.
